Final Fantasy X

Spira is a unique world in the Final Fantasy series. This one world belongs to Final Fantasy X. The story starts sometime already far in the game, where the main character and a few other characters are looking over a ruin city. Tidus, the main character, proceeds to narrate the series of events that lead up to his present situation. This includes extended flashback sequence that span most of the game's storyline. The story then starts where a big game is about to begin, and Tidus is heading towards the stadium that is filling up fans. Tidus is a young seventeen year old boy who is the star player of the Blitzball team of the city. At the match, though, a huge and dangerous creature called Sin attacks the city, destroying everything. Tidus finds himself floating in the water, his city gone, and himself one thousand years in the future. Here, after surviving monsters and being captured, Tidus learns that the city he used to live in is completely gone. It is nothing but rubble and has been like that for one thousand years. He also learns that Sin is still around, destroying and killing everything in its path. Summoners are the ones that stop Sin. They head on pilgrimages to obtain aeons from temples, hoping that one will defeat Sin in a final battle. None have succeeded as many have perished. Here, Tidus meets Wakka along with one summoner, a young and beautiful young woman by the name of Yuna.

Journeying together, Tidus and Yuna develop a connection, both wanting to have fun, laugh, and smile. It is there that Yuna asks Tidus to be one of her guardians. He joins along with Auron, Lula, and Wakka. They journey from temple to temple allowing Yuna to obtain an aeon from each place. It is when Seymour enters the picture does some events go wrong. Seymour wants Yuna to join him. He wants her to join him in marriage in hope that he may become her Final Aeon, and thus transform into Sin to destroy Spira. Seymour is destroyed but unsent. In hopes of performing a Sending, Yuna agrees to marry Seymour. That, however, backfires upon her causing all her guardians to rescue her. In the end, she learns something regarding the teaching of Yevon.

With each event happening and some crashing, Tidus and Yuna develop a close relationship. A wonderful scene happens in the lake where Tidus shows how much he cares about Yuna. However, with that development, Tidus discovers that if she completes her journey and uses the Final Aeon, she will die. Yuna knows her fate and intends to give her life to provide the Calm, a brief period of peace after Sin's destruction, to the people of Spira.

The story gets more complicated when Tidus learns from Auron that his father is alive, that he is no longer human and is Sin. This all becomes Tidus goal of finding a way to save Yuna by destroying Sin for good and rescuing his father. Another twist in the story comes when everyone arrives near Zanarkand. Tidus learns that he, Jeckt and the Zanarkand he is familiar with is all a dream, a vision created by the aeons. His city known as Dream Zanarkand was created one thousand years earlier when a conflict known as the Machina War lead by Yevon, Zanakand's ruler and a powerful summoner, taking strong events to preserve its memory.

Once entering Zanarkand, Tidus, Yuna, and the whole group come face to face with Lady Yunalesca, the first summoner to defeat Sin. She explains the whole idea of the Final Aeon. It is a bond created by the spirit of one closest to a summoner. Against the idea, the group defeats Yunalesca and decides to find a different way to defeat Sin. A battle happens on the outside of Sin, using an Al Bhed airship and forbidden machina. Upon defeating the outside, everyone enters and faces Seymour, Jecht's imprisoned spirit, and Yu Yevon. Once the battle is finished, all the aeons disappear. They also learn that Auron is an unsent, and it is time for Tidus to say goodbye.

Even with the mourning that Yuna has for Tidus, Yuna is strong when she gives the speech to everyone at Luca. She tells them that Spira is finally theirs, that a Calm will finally come and stay with them. She also asks them to never forget the people who have been lost along the way while she remembers the times that she shared with Tidus.
